2 days after my 21st. Big Thank You for those who grace my celebration with your presence. Also to those who sent in birthday greetings through various platforms, can't thank you enough. For those who stayed till late for the drinks, more thanks to you. For those who i didnt invite, well blame it on budget and space constraint :P

Got a couple of watches, a wallet, a book, a scrapbook, a t-shirt and red packets as gifts. Really like them, especially the red packets :D

I'll put up pics once i get them from various people. Its sad not to have your own camera D: Maybe its really time to get one. Or should i get a weekend phone? Im really pissed with my current screwed up NS phone now.o

Wasnt there a saying which goes something like bad things dun come alone or something along the line? Well its certainly true.

At around eight someone from camp called saying a key is missing and i am, supposedly, the last person who hold the freaking darn key. Im freaking sure im not stupid enough to bring the key home, and im certain i did put the key back into where its supposed to be, the freaking key press.

Theres nothing else i can do at home, so i decided to let the matter rest till tomorrow when i get back to camp. I went to my room, pick up some clothes and hit the showers.

After the nice hot shower, of cuz u wuld wanna off the tap wuldnt u? But FUCK!, the fucking tap wont shut! The water keep flowing out like its free. FUCK! So theres only 2 options at that moment, one is to turn off the main tap outside the house, the other is to turn the little red switch in the kitchen. But guess what, the 1st option requires a spanner which i couldnt find one in my house, and the little red switch got stuck, probably due to it not being used too long. WTF

So after a nice good shower, im sweaty all over now again D: and the cost to change the tap and call in an emergency plumber is $120! Meh!

Whats next? Probably signing some extras tomorrow when i get back to camp tomorrow. Ohwell

Bus back home

Usually on the bus trip back home, ill do afew things.

Firstly i'll look for a seat (duh!)Then i'll plug in my IPod and browse around until i got to song im satisfied with.

If the person beside/infront is browsing through the newspaper i'll keep a lookout for interesting/important news.

So i was on my way back a couple of days back and the bus is packed so i can only stand. The person on the seat infront of me was happening to be reading this chinese tabloid (LianHe Wan Bao) and i saw this interesting news;

So now we know not only an apple a day can keep the doctor away :P

Routine

Woah! Been a really long time since my last update in april. Quick recap of what i've done these 4 months.

NS (boring) as usual, luckily got a post as the admin guy with pretty decent colleagues and superiors.

Spend most of my time playing WoW, but sorta stop a couple days back cuz the stupid new patch screwed me up. Maybe its a sign from above asking me to use the time to do something more meaningful and beneficial (or maybe its just my com that messed up).

Dennis and Jeramy are freaking bad influence. The drinking the smoking and the harry potter-ish scar. But i still love you guys dun worry :D

Life's pretty routine (read BORING). Weekdays 8-5.30 in camp, fall out, go home, play some games, sleep. Rinse and repeat.

So to summarize, nth important happened these 4 months, for me at least.

On to more recent stuff, caught Hangover last night. Its actually pretty funny. The laughter is totally worth the 8 bucks. Went for a lan session a couple of hours back, and i tell u its totally AWESOME, and its not just the games.

And hey guess what? Its National Day, so happy birthday Singapore! Im really grateful for being born and raise in this country (except for the conscription). C'mon every singaporean out there that think this country suck, think again. Not many other countries allow you to live without fear of natural disaster eh. And u dont have to worry about ur loved ones even if they come home in the wee hours of the morning cuz its so secured. Although it can get pretty boring sometimes, but hey be thankful for what u got eh.

21st is just a week away. Meh one year older D: and ppl asking wad i want as gift. Seriously, its really the thought that counts for me. From handmade gel-with-messages-in-test-tube to random toy police on a motor cycle to random uno cards to wallets to vouchers to just a simple text message, I sincerely appreciate all of them whether or not they are actually useful lol.

Getting late, so i'll end the post here, but no worries my Dear Reader(s), i promise ill be back real soon kays? (Hey there are actually ppl reading my blog and asking for updates ok mai siao siao lol)

Get A Life Night! Or Freaking Boring Night if you are like me, cant get a date and all the other guys are in army camp (sucks to be them! LOL)

If you are wondering why tuesday night, cuz its when the WoW server is down for maintenance! No . . . WoW . . . I . . Need . . argh . . .

I swear Jon(Lee WX) purposely arrange all his dates on tuesday nights cuz of this! Although he keeps denying it and says is pure coincidence.

And Jonathan is such a common name nowadays please do not name your son Jonathan anymore. I bet if u go orchard road and shout Jonathan 50 people will turn and look at you. Strangely all of the Jonathans i know are either Jiak Gang Tang or very least dont like something chinese. Pffff pseudo caucasian lol

One of my buddy, Junhao, 21st birthday is coming up and hes having a chalet(must get gift arbo paiseh go empty handed lol) and i still dunno what to get him! Please suggest to me what to get him. Keep in mind he already has an ipod and a psp, doesnt drink, smoke or gamble and not really into branded stuffs. The most creative idea will get a 1 x good one [Sincere Gratitude] from me! Dragonball Evolution totally sucks! Its one of the worst movie i have seen in recent years. Its suckiness is on par with Untraceable. 1/5 is an overstatement. Predictable plot aside, the acting is lame and whats up with the "angmoh will always like another asian", and who the hell will use the last wish to revive some old man he meet for only a few days den his grandfather that brought him up the past 18 years, and and, wtf is with the Shen Long and Shi Xing Qiu! If u wanna do it in english, do everything in english!!! KAMEHAMEHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Enough of the lousy movie. Past few days were spent doing some lame sentry duty. Im so bored that i went to look through the functions of my lousy phone, and under the sms distribution list, i saw [DnA]! LMAO! All the funny stuff start flooding back, Strange and Slack anyone? LOL those were the days. Now that all of us are walking down different paths, or rather, in different camps (NS FTL!), it sure is fun to think of those lame and stupid days once in awhile.

Oh and btw, AIG management is either damn stupid or damn greedy or both. My guess is both.

End of something, beginning of another

Thats just how life is eh, one thing end, another new beginning follow right after. Yes even for death, unless u're an atheist.

My course technically ended yesterday, and on job training is starting next monday. New environment, new faces, new routines.

NS has actually been quite good for me until now. Im in Pes C due to some injury, and its been all relax and chill while meeting new(sometimes weird) people and getting to make afew friends from all walks of life. I got time to take up driving, and planning to take up some form of martial arts, probably Judo or something similar. NS isnt all bad afterall, although i'll still choose not to spend the 2 years on something else if given a choice.

Twilight Boxset + Curious Tale of Benjamin Button

The Twilight boxset i ordered from Amazon.com came a few days back. It looks so nice that i just left it there without opening the plastic wrapping. Pictures (taken with a lousy phone came)

Didnt upload the rest of the pics cuz they are so badly taken, not enuf lighting and focus and stuff like that. and yes i blame them all on the lousy phone cam, theres nth wrong with my photography skills.

I also caught Curious Tale of Benjamin Button. Great movie, worth 4.5/5 stars. A must watch imo. It looks at life from a different perspective, but makes u realise that life is just a full circle, in the end we'll all end up in diapers. We're just taking the different route to the same finishing point. The movie is almost 3 hours long btw, and i didnt know that in the 1st place :/ had to rush back to family dinner after that.

omg omg omg i just caught 黑糖玛琪朵 on tv! yes they are showing it on SCV channel 46 at 9pm everyday. <3 鬼鬼 <3丫头

Watching it feels so nostalgic lol, although it just like 2 years back. So many things have changed since then, army and all. Dont u just wish to turn back time sometimes.

Dont get me wrong im not unhappy about how things are now, just that those were the more carefree days, dont have to worry about much but getting the diploma.

Not that i have lots of things to worry about now, but definitely more things then that time. Yes you can say i have a roof over my head and my basic needs all taken care off so theres nth critical for me to worry about. But sometimes thats where the whole problem lies.

Oh well. Everything will be better once i stop procrastinating every now and then and put things into action. Once i stop procrastinating... once is stop procrastinating.... once i stop procrastinating...

Its the new year, 2009, and whats a better way to start the new year other than, yes u guess it, a post on New Year Resolutions!

1. Lose weight. I know this has been on the list of like the past 5 or more years but, this is the year when it will really happen!... er, at least i hope so =\

2. Get my driving license. In fact, im going down to kovan to do my registration and everything this friday or saturday.

3. Save up and stop spending on unnecessary stuff. But then again, i have a loose definition of whats necessary and whats not :P

4. Get through NS without any SOL, DB or even signing extras.

Lets hope i achieve all 4 of my resolutions this year. My dear readers, yes u, the one reading my blog, my dear, can do a part in helping me achieve them too. Remind me of them whenever you see me and scold/slap/kick/punch me if i fail to do so (no guarantee i wont retal though lol)

Yes Man is not a bad movie btw, gets a bit boring later into the movie but funny movie nonetheless. One good thing about this comedy is that it doesnt derives its humour from just sexual innuendos, heck it doesnt even use it in this movie, which is good cuz crude sexual humour gets real boring real soon.

Oh yes, Twilight is a great show, probably one of the best I've seen this year. I'll rank it on the top of my list along with The Dark Knight. The movie has a great flow with not a single dull moment. Im gonna read Twilight the book I borrowed from soogie later on. Hes so addicted to it hes gonna get all the 4 books, which means im gonna borrow all 4 from him :D

On the other hand, The day the earth stood still is a very disappointing movie. I'll give it like 2/5 stars only cuz Keanu Reeves is the lead actor. Why did he have to take up such a bad movie. Damn.

Btw, Da Mouth 大嘴巴 released a new album Da Playa 王元口力口, support them please cause they are awesome!

Just caught House Bunny over at Plaza Singapura. Not a very fantastic movie but given the lack of good movies out there at the moment, its imo the best option out there to blow your $8 - $10 on. At least some part of it is funny. Oh and the pretty girls too :P 2.75 popcorns out of 5 is the score from me.

Dream

I realised that a good dream the night before can be one of the worse start to the day.

Especially when the dream is so good that you are actually smiling in your sleep.

The alarm just have to start ringing at a totally wrong time.

You wake up, rub your eyes a couple of times and suddenly you realise you are back to the cold hard reality. The mood of your morning has just been completely ruined.

No matter how nice, how sweet, how too good to be true the dream is, it is still but a dream.

One more month to enlistment. Great.

Having a sore throat is bad enough, and a blocked nose and the fact that its a monday only make things worse.

So now im all alone at home with nothing better to do. Work suddenly seems like a fun thing to do.

Recently i got 2 old mandarin songs stuck in my head for no reason. I havent heard them in a long long long time and its like i suddenly feel like humming out the tunes. For some unknown reason i kept writing date for this month as 08/09 instead of 09/08 (MM/YY format)

Maybe its my subconcious reluctance to move on to Sept and wanna stay in August.

Bought the comic book for $9 bucks when Iskandar, the cartoonist, came over to sell it at a mini mooncake fair at my work place. Intended to get some snow skin mooncakes from Marriot Hotel but the freezer in the office was already full of mooncakes the other staffs bought :(

I bought the book cuz ~~he said my hair looks cool~~ i think the cartoons are pretty cute and funny yet true to the various issues our country faced.

Whats better than watching a horror movie alone on a cold and rainy tuesday evening? Nothing! Thats why i took the train down to tampines and caught the thai horror movie 4Bia.

Been quite some time since i last watched a horror flick, so its quite refreshing.
The movie is divided into 4 short stories; Happiness, Tit for Tad, In the Middle and Last Fright, half an hr each .Overall its not as scary as some people say(maybe cuz i got a high threshold for horror stuff), but still good nonetheless. My favorite will go In the Middle, cuz its sorta like a mixture of horror and comedy while kinda spoofing movie like the sixth sense.
I'll give this movie a 3.5/5

Armed with an OCBC visa, nets, and some cash, i went to Comex 2008 at suntec convention center after work looking to spend some moolah on a speaker with ipod dock and maybe an earphone.

Walk around for an hour or so, saw some familiar faces, but only bought a notebook cooling pad for 18bucks :( Couldnt bear to take that visa of mine and swipe it for the Altec Lansing Inmotion ipod dock :(

I realised i've changed. Dont know since when i start to think twice about spending money =\

I also look at things differently now, tend to think more than last time, look at things from different angles.

Can i not grow up? :(

And its bad having 2 patients at home, one cant exert himself, have to go for radiation den chemo and one cant even walk and have to go for physio :(

and the other falling sick and getting easily irritated cuz have to take care of both doesnt rrly help

Im so happy for my dear NUFC. Its been a long long long time since i saw this kinda performance from them. The defence look more solid than ever with Given back between the posts and new signing Coloccini giving rooney some problem. Midfield passing was great at times too, Jonas Gutierrez sure pose a danger to any defenders so watch out EPL here comes the spiderman. Oba pace is just blazing. Finally for the 1st time since Sir Bobby Robson reign i see hope!!!

Caught The Mummy 3 last night, wasnt up to expectation. 2.5 out of 5 is the score it got from me, the .5 for the cast (read young pretty chinese girl). Money will be better spent on Money not enough 2 imo. At least u r supporting local production with your $10. Waiting for journey to the center of the earth, hope it will be much better than mummy.

Pushing Daisies is a nice show on the other hand. Totally love the story telling way with the narration and i love the actora' and actress' acting.

I realised, i got 2 friends who are "different and refuse to conform".

Well im sure nobody likes rules, nobody likes to conform to the norms, well at least i dont. But lets face it, how often do someone really have the power or ability to change the rules, to prosper without conforming. How often to you see a Steve Jobs or a Mark Zukerburg. Dont get me wrong, i also hope to be different, to set my own rules and not conforming to the norms and prosper at the same time but now is not the time, i still have much much much more things to learn. But its ok im not even 20 yet.

Oh and coincidentally both of the above mention friends have some sort of mental problem, depression and severe OCD respectively. I wonder :P

Btw, its start of the lunar 7th month, and even on 14th floor the smell of people burning offering is overwhelming. Time to get into my air conditioned bedroom.

And also, its the 1st day of my favourite month of the year too :)

The Dark Knight is the best movie i've seen recently, aftering watching the likes of Don't Mess with Zohan and Hancock. I'll give it 4.5/5, not full marks cuz the i dont like the fact that Two-Face died so quickly. A must watch imo

Don't wanna spoil too much on the movie here so go catch it people! Totally worth your $10 i tell u.

Heath Ledger as Joker is awesome! Too bad we wont see him anymore :(

Went to Ma Maison, a french jap fusion restaurant, @ Central Mall on monday evening for celebrate 2 mates' birthday. One belated and one in advance, well cuz its hard to find time and kinda financial taxing to meet twice :P

Food there were decent, but personally i like the service and the ambience. I'll give the place a 7/10. Some pics of the food we ordered below

Yay! Not like i've been to anywhere =\ Im just lazy to blog nowadays, got lots of things to blog about but just plain lazy.

Things like what not to do when you are a guest, be it at a party or blog. Never criticise the host, at least not at his place, and complain after he did something bad to you (or your entry)

Things like how people can squeeze into the very very small space between me and the mrt door, how people can read the newspaper even in a train carriage where everyone is packed like canned sardines, how boring my work is, how my colleague will talk to themselves, how staying a night at the ice hotel has become one of my dream, how my bro and dad went for checkup and are schedule to have operation, how the quality of sleep is much more important than the quantity, and many many more other things.

But i wont go into details here, cuz its already 11.30pm and im going to bed. If i cant get quality sleep at least i get the quantity.

USA could send its troops into Iraq looking for some non-existence WMD so surely they now, along with UN, can send their troops into Myanmar and force those stupid Junta asses to stop being so stubborn and let in international aid workers and disasters expert? They can even sieze the chance to free Aung San Suu Kyi and the whole of Myanmar from the lame military rule. Reports show another storm is going their way and without proper aid they are gonna suffer from more casualties and even probably a plague or sorts :(

Kill those thousands of soldiers and save the1.5 million (and increasing) innocent civilians affected by the cyclone, i say why not.

After months of slacking, I finally decided to get a job. Gonna start working at CPF board (the one at robinson road) as admin assistant to the housing department from tomorrow onwards. Hope ~~its slack~~ everything goes well.

Actually, i dont wanna work. I just wanna slack until enlistment but damn my enlistment is late october and i feel guilty staying at home all day living off my parents. Well not that this job is gonna be sufficient for me to survive on my own but at least im doing something.

Ok so i got my results, not too bad, 2 As a B+ and a B. Did i expect it? well not really, its better than what i expected. Biggest surprise, A for Major Proj :D Not that we did poorly for it, just that, i felt we didnt do enough. Guess im wrong this time :P

Im not gonna talk bout my GPA cuz it isnt very good, not good enough to get me into the 3 main local universities :(

Do i regret not working harder? No i dont. What can i do now even if i regretted? Its so unlike me to regret things :P

Pretty bored recently, always wanted to get things started/done but keep procrastinating =\ holidays are like the prefect time to procrastinate. Bleh. And adding the fact that im losing money on mahjong recently, double bleh.

Bcuz of the procrastinating and boredom, i got hook on Texas Hold'em this few days. Playing it whole day on facebook, switching to blackjack when i get bored of it.

Last exam paper this coming thursday, to quote everyone else, "time flies, its like only yesterday when i got my O level results"

Alright not really, its been 3 long years, not very eventful for me though. At least not as eventful as that of sooguan's or glenn's (from his blog) :P

What have i learnt throughout the 3 years in TP? Can say lots, but can also say very little. Cant really put them in words. Ok im just lazy to put them in words, for more info, visit the TP website for my course synopsis. lol

Always wanted a graduation tour with my clique (somehow when people gets into poly they love to use the word clique. I rarely heard the word being used in sec sch). Initial plan was to taiwan, but somehow things just dont work out (like usual!). bleh

Good news though, i finally got the ipod classic i always wanted, a 80gb one. Yay. and i also ordered a pair of Sennheiser earphones online, cant wait for them to arrive :D

Its not really the holidays yet, in fact, its the study week. But my paper is on the 28th, which is still a week away and doesnt put any sense of urgency in me.

Didnt have any mahjong session today so im at home now, blogging. What've i been doing before this? Lets see, i woke up at 9, went back to sleep, really woke up at 10, had my breakfast, turn on the tv, watch some shows until 11, went back to my room, surf the net for awhile, turn on my DVD player and watched The Office, the comedy from 2005. Its so funny that I cant stop unless i finish a season. But hmm, home alone, watching dvd and laughing to the four walls, hmmm

When should i start my revision? Now. When will i start my revison? Probably not until next week. I reckon monday will be the day i gather the notes from those who have them, and maybe really start doing some revision tuesday or wednesday.

University application? Nah not applying, at least this year, dont think i'll be able to get into the 3 local uni with my results, somehow i regretted my that i slacked too much for year 1, but ohwel, whats done is done. Will probably further my education after NS, in SIM or some local correspondence of overseas universities. Well of cause, it all depends whether i win tonight 10million toto, or not.

Screwed up a question or 2 but should still be able to pass. 2 more papers to go, ERM on thursday and Prac Tech on friday den its the holidays woohoo and Christmas Yay. Projects are not getting anywhere, haven't start preparing for mid-sem test, napfa sure fail, wish santa gimme an Ipod for xmas, hope term break wont be 2 weeks of projects, hope 2007 ends well and 2008 starts well for me.

看着窗外的雨，我想起我爸曾对我说过的话。每当我有早上的课，我都会跟我爸的车因为他的公司就在我学校附近。在那大约30分钟的路程，他总是会和我聊些实事，生命中的道理，或人与人的相处之道。有时我真的很累，就会用微笑和点头来敷衍他。我想他是知道的吧，但他并不会拆穿我，而且会让我静静的休息直到学校。

有一次他说到，人们常常会把些事物或家人朋友当成理所当然的，而应此忽略了莫些事物或人。往往要在人事已非时才后悔，才懂得珍惜。

人们都说如果要在社会上生存多多少少一定要有点心机。这点我明白，但只是为了些小钱有这必要吗？
难道就不能坦然的接受输赢吗？
何必为了那些小钱（真的很少）而耍尽心机呢？人与人之间尔虞我诈是难免的，但真的有这必要吗？

我想信每人心中都有自己的一个排行榜，把所认识的人排在榜上。我想我应该重新评估你在我的排行榜上的地位了吧。

也许你会说是我在小题大做，但就连件小的事你都这样处理了，如果以后遇到更大更重要的是事。。。我不敢想象。

也许这真的是一件小事，但我们不就是从小事中来判断一个人的个性与人格吗？

其实我早就料到你是个怎么样的人，所以我一点也不失望，只是一直不想接受吧。

生病真难熬，咳嗽咳到头都痛了，是时候上床睡个觉了。可怜的我生病还要上学。哈哈：）

Took 163 to change 27 to go to school this morning and like usual, i(a considerate citizen) move to the back of the bus and took a seat. Looking up, i saw this young lady from CHIJ St.Joseph sitting 3 seats in front of me. On the 1st look at her backview, i was totally mesmerised, totally attracted to her hair. Yes her hair when i din even see her face. I always thought i like long hair, but i was wrong. I dunno how to describe her hair, its just a right hairstyle on a right person with the right hair. It was attracted to her hair like metal to magnet. I ended up staring at her hair all the way before she alighted a stop before me. Still din get to see her face but i guess i'll nv forget her hairstyle.

May i dream of her hair tonight :)

Anyways this whole week is like a damn down week for me, totally still in holiday mood. Even when meeting for FYP my mind is like wandering. Felt really sorry for my sub-standard workrate (and maybe work quality =x). and the worst thing is, i think my luck has gone! The mahjong tiles didnt come like they did last time LOL but its only thursday, hope friday saturday and sunday will be much better :D
